2 Ounces of Rum
1 Ounce of Lime
3/4 Ounce of Simple Syrup
2 Dashes of Angostura Bitters
2 Dashes of Peychaud’s Bitters

Add lime, mint and sugar to a chilled glass. Muddle. Fill 2/3 with ice and add the other ingredients, holding back the bitters. Add your bitters on top and stir very briefly. Fill to top with crushed ice and serve.
Come with us to Port-of-Spain, Trinidad in the 1920s. The Queen’s Park Hotel was the grand dame of lux hotels there, a see-and-be-seen resort destination where everyone stayed during their visit to the island. Though those heady days are gone like the hotel itself, we have a lasting gift from that great era, The Queen’s Park Swizzle. This bright citrus and rum cocktail is a great way to bring a bit of the tropics into any occasion, all year long.
Special thanks to Weather Up for hooking us up on this one.
